The Charlemagne European Youth Prize is awarded annually to projects, developed by young people aged between 16 and 30, which promote understanding at European and international level, a shared sense of European identity and integration and serve as a model young people living in Europe offering practical examples of Europeans living together in a community.
And the winning project of the 2018 edition of the European Charlemagne Youth Prize is ... WORKCAMPS CASCAIS 2017 presented promoted by Rota Jovem in partnership with the City Hall of Cascais!
The national jury composed of MEPs Liliana Rodrigues, Carlos Coelho and José Inácio Faria and the National Youth Council - Portugal praised the social and international dimensions of the selected project and is now in competition with projects from the 27 other Member States.
The winner will be announced on May 8 in Aachen, Germany, where the prizes for the three best projects at European level will be presented by the President of the European Parliament and representatives of the Foundation of the Charlemagne International Prize.
A representative of each of the 28 winning projects nationwide will be invited to this ceremony.
