Yesterday, June 18th, we celebrated the opening of the Cascais Youth volunteer programs.

Seven Youth Volunteer Programs bring together about 2,700 volunteers.

Natura Observes, Live Tide, Holidays in Sport, Social Culture, Culture in the Neighborhood and Locals remain as Volunteer Programs

This year the programs have the novelty of Locals xs that are aimed at young people between 12 and 14 years, aims to contribute
for the general well-being and safety of the users of the Railway Transport of the county and the provision of general information to the visitor of Cascais,
being inserted in the Locals.

In this edition of 2018 we have about 2700 young people, a big difference compared to the year 2017 that participated about 1850 young people.

In the framework of Cascais - European Capital of Youth 2018, the great program of Education for Citizenship and Social Responsibility was created, GIVE ME 4,
aimed at young people between 12 and 25 years of age. With the intention of arousing a taste for volunteering and for working for the community,
four volunteer hours will be exchanged for a ticket to the GIVE ME 4 music festival, which will take place on August 12 at 9:00 p.m. in Marechal Carmona Park,
which will feature performances by Gabriel the Thinker, HMB and Pedro Vaz.

The Mayor of Cascais, Carlos Carreiras, emphasizes that the main objective of these Youth Volunteer Programs is to promote the
participation and young citizenship, and confesses that young Cascaños are a great pride, but also refers to other
initiative: "This is the largest youth volunteer program in the country that serves not only as a first line in the curriculum, but also promotes social cohesion
of the county, because it integrates young people from all social strata, religions and ethnicities that form teams and has a very great environmental concern. "

In order to guarantee the mobility of young volunteers, Cascais City Council has established partnerships with MobiCascais, Scotturb, CP and Toyota.
