History:

The Group began its activity at the end of 1965, and its start to the action of the Chief Carlos Manuel Costa Pereira and the Assistant Pe Agostinho Pereira da Silva. The first camp was held in April 1966 at Quinta da Fonteireira / Belas. The meetings were held at the Head of Grouping and in the parish halls.

Group 113 was affiliated on November 9, 1966, through O.S.N. No. 258 of the same date, as well as Group 41, with St. John Bosco as patron. The 7 of January of 1967 was affiliated to Alcateia 36 and named like That the Head Lourdes Lambert, that later would later be replaced by Chief Edite.
At the end of 1966, because Group 41 had been unemployed for a year due to the absence of Chief of Staff Carlos Pereira (who was to perform military service), the Assistant sought help from the Torre d'Aguilha Group (Seminary), leaving two Leaders to take care of the Group 41, one of them, the Head Pe Firmino Sá Cachada, who practically from scratch, undertook the 2nd start of Group 41, contacting the old scouts and gathering new elements, with the meetings to be held in the house of these Scouts.

By that time the new Parish Hall began to be built by the Parish, which included the headquarters of the Group and was inaugurated on February 22, 1970, with the Group reaching about 100 members. From that date until 1973, the group lived dependent on the leaders of Torre d'Aguilha who, being missionaries, were little more than a year in Santo Domingo de Rana and then left for the missions.

At the beginning of 1974, with the extinction of the Seminar Group (derived from the closing of the Major Seminary), Group 113 ceased to count on the support of its Officers, registering a great turnover and a high reduction of its cash. On that occasion, a team of Caminheiros asked a former seminarian, Chief Ernesto Pereira Gomes, to return to the Grouping in order to re-launch it, thus giving the Group's 3rd start. Since Chief Ernesto resided in Benfica, the Caminheiros, as it was until that time, were to ensure the main activities, with emphasis on the action of.

Starting in 1974, the activities of the zone were relaunched (including AEP and AGP), in which the Group played an important role in encouraging meetings and preparing activities.

In October 1974, the group participated in the AR Jamboree thanks to the efforts of the roadmakers, including the radio amateurs António Roma and António Pimentel and with the support of a Tires Amateur, with the CNE National Station (CT1CNE) being located in the Hall parish of S. Domingos de Rana. The event was the subject of a report by RTP headed by the journalist Fernando Pessa who at the time interviewed some of the elements present.

Around 1975/76, the Group began to have leaders formed in its bosom, namely António Roma, António Pimentel and, later, Fernando Peixoto. The Group's participation in regional activities was very regular these days, as was its emergence, which was beginning to gain more and more stability. , as well as its organization.

From 1979 onwards, Chief Roma,left the Group, and was soon followed by the Chiefs Pimentel and Peixoto, due to differences with the new Assistant Cunha Duarte.
For the 4th start of the Group, the few remaining hikers contacted the Chief Ernesto who, after a short time and due to lack of availability, had to leave.
About eight years have now passed since little is known about the Group, knowing that a number of leaders have passed by, including Chief António Roma and his wife, who also took the investiture as Director. It is also known that the Group participated in the National Camp of Sesimbra in 1983 and that in 1985 was founded the Senior Group (Pioneer) and in 1986 the Clan 44.
After 4 years of interregnum, the fifth start-up of the Group was given, at the request of Fr José Ribeiro and with the approval of the Regional Board of Lisbon, with the Paço d'Arcos Grouping to accompany a study patrol in the meantime constituted, Chiefs António Pimentel and José Luis.
The group was launched on October 17, 1992, with the reopening of Alcateia and Grupo Explorador (both with 27 elements each), headed respectively by Chiefs António Pimentel (also Head of Group) and José Luis (also Deputy Head of Grouping) and accompanied by 8 other animators.

In the scout year of 1994/95, with the inauguration of the Directors Ricardo Filipe and Luis Dias and with the support of the Chief José Neca, the Pioneer Group and the Clan were reopened and they remain in operation.
It should be noted that, with the construction of the new Parish Hall of S. Domingos de Rana and with the help of the Assistant of the High (Fr Agostinho Brígido), the Group began to take care of some rooms in the old parish hall, restriction imposed by the reduced size of our Headquarters (2nd floor).
In 199, group 113, was one of the strong drivers of the creation of Núcleo da Barra, structure that covers all the groupings of the counties of Cascais and Oeiras.

Already in 2012, on October 6, the new headquarters of the Group, located on Rua das Flores / Rua dos Escuteiros was inaugurated, the result of a joint work between the Municipal Council of Cascais and the grouping. This new space allowed to increase the physical area for the scout activities while allowing a strong growth of the cash.
