This morning took place the initial training of the 2nd shift of the Cultura Social program.

70 young volunteers were present today for two hours at the Cascais Cultural Center and in the garden in front. They were trained and performed icebreaker and group activities.

The main objective of the Culture Social program is to occupy the leisure time of young people in a healthy way, to contribute to personal development, to foster community spirit and solidarity through proximity to reality, to develop active citizenship, as well as to apply the potential of young people.

Between social support, heritage, civil protection and cultural animation, our volunteers gathered in groups held various games, between an impossible mission with various tasks and a reflection on the values ​​of a volunteer.

Serena is 18 years old and will volunteer at the Community Center of Carcavelos. She chose for the second time this project because she had enjoyed the previous experience and because she was very fond of dealing with children.

Among many laughs, decisions to take into account and important information about the rules, on how to represent Cascais in the best way and how to make a difference in society, many were the young people who have already created bonds of friendship between them.
