Yesterday, the beach of Carcavelos received another edition of the action Verão Saudável.

Within the scope of the Health Promotion Strategy, the Cascais City Council, through the Division of Health Promotion, developed two initiatives of this promotion, awareness and animation action on the beaches of the municipality of Cascais.

The first initiative took place on July 10, at Praia da Poça, between 1:00 pm and 5:00 p.m. The second was held yesterday, August 7, also from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Both had the objective of sensitizing the population to the adoption of healthy behaviors and lifestyles, as well as to the problem of consumption habits (use / abuse) of alcohol, of healthy food, child safety, care of the sun and how surf the internet safely.

In this sense, the initiatives were stimulated through the collaboration and participation of several partners - Associação Vitamimos, APSI - Assoc. Prevention of Child Safety, Cascais Jovem, the Secure Internet Center of the Foundation for Science and Technology, the Portuguese League Against Cancer, the Mun- Si- Children's Health Promotion Program in CEIDSS Municipalities and St.ª Casa Misericórdia (mobile unity).

Among sugar-free fruit shots, healthy snacks and sun exposure information, many were the Maré Viva volunteers, the swimmers and the vacationers who came by the stands to try out the suggestions and hear more about how to take care of a beach day.
