IRONMAN 70.3 is back in Cascais!

After two first editions with record of participants, the last with more than 2700 athletes, the biggest endurance race in the world is back in our county! 

The cycling route runs along the Avenida Marginal, passing through Oeiras, always next to the ocean and with extraordinary views to Lisbon.

On the way back, the athlete is faced with a breathtaking natural scenery in the Sintra forests - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The entrance to Cascais runs along the Guincho road "where the land ends and the sea begins", completing an extraordinary 90.1 km turn. The two 21.1 km laps of the race course cross the village of Cascais, entering the Marginal and returning to the bay of Cascais, the perfect inspiration to finish the IRONMAN 70.3 Cascais Portugal.

Running between Cascais, Estoril and S. Pedro, the athletes will be refreshed by the sea breeze and applauded by spectators who frame a dream scenario.

The event will have a fundamental contribution of 400 volunteers from Cascais Sports Volunteer, throughout the day of the race and the previous 5 days.

NOTE: On the 28th, under the IRONMAN 70.3, the IRONKIDS event will take place in Baía de Cascais.
