DNA and the Cascais City Council, through its Employment Promotion Division, have launched DNA Match, a professional internship program for those who are unemployed at any age. It is an initiative that facilitates the creation of employment and the socioeconomic development of the municipality of Cascais, which takes the form of an eight-month internship program, which includes a behavioral training plan for trainees and consultancy for the traineeship process.

Private entities, whether or not for profit, with headquarters or activity in the municipality of Cascais, or supported by DNA Cascais, may apply for this program.

As for trainees, all those residing in the county who are unemployed or retraining, without age limit, can apply.

What differs in DNA Match from other existing internship programs?

The difference is in the increase in the contribution that traineeships benefit for candidates aged 45 or over, as well as candidates who have been unemployed for more than 12 months and/or have a disability or proven incapacity. On the other hand, DNA Match is not limited to creating internships, but the support it provides goes beyond the probationary period. Thus, for companies that subsequently hire the trainee at the end of the internship (minimum contract of 12 months), an incentive will be given to this contracting, corresponding to 15% of the equity of DNA Cascais.

The Cascais City Council, through its Employment Promotion Division, "will work closely with DNA, benefiting from extensive experience in this type of program, complementing the support of that entity, through the trainees' accompaniment and streamlining the training program parallel to the stage in a work context, "said Francisco Carreiro, Head of the Employment Promotion Division of CMC.
