The Portuguese Institute for Sport and Youth, through the Youth Center of Lisbon, and the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training, through the Employment Center Vocational Training of Lisbon, will open the course of Youth Technician, whose exit profile aims to to intervene in the design, organization, development and evaluation of projects, programs and activities with and for young people, through methodologies in the field of non-formal education, facilitating and promoting citizenship, active participation and intervention in society, autonomy, inclusion and personal, social and cultural development.
A Youth technician has as main activities to diagnose and analyze areas of intervention with and for young people; to collaborate in the definition and management of technical, logistical, training and financial resources necessary to carry out youth activities, namely, human resources, equipment, space and services; intervene in the planning, organization, dynamization and evaluation of activities of youth animation; collaborate in the elaboration and implementation of projects of intervention and development, of national and / or international scope, destined to the young people; intervene in the development of national and / or international information and communication campaigns on youth issues; promote the international dimension of youth, especially in the European, Ibero-American and Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).
This course is aimed at young people between 16 and 24 years of age, of Portuguese nationality and young foreigners with residence authorization in Portugal. As access conditions, young people must have completed the 9th year of schooling (certified with a certificate of qualification) and be enrolled in the IEFP (young people may do so at any IEFP Employment Service).
With the course, they will have access to a double certification, 12th grade + professional certification - level 4, in a total of 3650 hours of training and support is also foreseen such as a professionalization grant, food subsidy, subsidy / transportation expenses and a scholarship study material (depending on the size of the Family Allowance).
This course will take place at the Lisbon Youth Center (CJL), at Moscavide street, Lt. 47 101, Parque das Nações, in Lisbon, starting in November 2018, and lasts for 2 ½ years. Two actions are planned, during working hours from Monday to Friday, one action from 08h to 14h and another from 14h to 20h.
