2018 has been a great year for Cascais as European Youth Capital!

It has been approximately 2 years of preparation of numerous activities spread across 13 areas ranging from sports to volunteering, participation, environment, employment, mobility, structured dialogue, among others, according to the main priorities of European and local youth policies.

With the theme "Glocal Youth", the vision of Cascais 2018 was to join the global and local dimensions in this way towards a process of social transformation of young people.

More than 400 initiatives have been developed with national and international partners, involving thousands of young people developing the spirit of European citizenship, fostering youth cooperation at an international and local level, promoting formal and non-formal education, as well as the development of social and professional skills.

In order to support all these initiatives, was created the Cascais Volunteers 2018 project, which includes more than 600 young people who were part in more than 120 actions introducing Cascais and the projects developed for youth.

And for the future is the European Youth Observatory. The first European organization with the possibility of being headquartered in Cascais - dedicated to studying the issues that most affect young people - was supported by the European Commission, the European Parliament, the government and the Presidency of the Republic.

The National Youth Meeting ends the Cascais 2018 program. This initiative of the CNJ: National Youth Council will take place at the Estoril Congress Center on December 12th and 13th and you can still register here to participate.

Friday, December 14th, we celebrate in a great party the closing of this spectacular year and we pass the legacy to Novi Sad, Serbia, which will be the center of europe in 2019!

From 4 pm, the Estoril Congress Center is filled to welcome the HMB, Shadow Government, FunkYou2, RebelKidcrew and Karetus !!
