Buggy chairs arrived at Cascais

The Buggy Chairs have just arrived at the beaches of Moitas, Poça and Tamariz, under the Maré Viva Summer Volunteer Program.

In order to facilitate the movement of children with motor difficulties in the country, the More Moving Moments Association (MMM) has emerged as a way to address some of the obstacles these children and their families face in their daily lives. Founded in January 2018, the association aims to develop and share solutions that allow inclusive growth in childhood.

These chairs must be moved by their caregivers and / or family members and are intended to move the children up to 27 kg by the sand or to make them arrive there.

The word inclusion already characterizes some of our beaches, namely those of Carcavelos, Conceição and Tamariz, which have been involved for 9 years with the tiralôs. These chairs, which are also part of the Maré Viva program, allow people with reduced mobility and mobility difficulties to take a bath like all bathers.
